Drew Lock must be wholesome and able to begin Sunday for the New York Giants when the face the Indianapolis Colts of their closing residence recreation of the 2024 season, head coach Brian Daboll mentioned on Tuesday.

Lock had gone for an MRI on his throwing shoulder after Sunday’s 34-7 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Lock being able to go means Tommy DeVito would be the No. 2 quarterback, and Tim Boyle the emergency third quarterback.

Linebacker Micah McFadden (burner), operating again Tyrone Tracy Jr. (ankle), middle John Michael Schmitz (ankle), cornerback Greg Stroman (shoulder/shin), defensive deal with Cory Durden, cornerback Dru Phillips and huge receiver Malik Nabers won’t follow on Tuesday.

That is how issues have gone for the Giants in 2024. Security Raheem Layne, who was simply signed to the 53-man roster final week, will reportedly end the season on IR after struggling a torn meniscus throughout Sunday’s loss to Atlanta.

Layne, 25, performed in 11 video games for the Los Angeles Chargers over the 2022 and 2023 seasons. He suffered a season-ending torn Achilles in 2023, and spent this season on the Giants’ follow squad rehabbing.

Layne performed in simply two video games for the Giants. On Sunday, he had three solo tackles in 22 defensive snaps.
