Tim Howard has two damaged bones in his again—see slideshow at proper—and can miss an undetermined period of time, in response to Everton’s official Website.

“Tim is out towards Wigan,” Toffees coach David Moyes said. “He has damaged two bones in his again. We do not assume he shall be out for the season. I learn that (Newcastle’s Fabricio) Coloccini might be out for seven weeks (with an analogous damage) however we aren’t positive how lengthy Tim shall be out for as a result of, clearly with a goalkeeper, he has to dive round and hit the bottom.”

“I have let him go away for a few days. It might be that, if everything goes well, he misses next week’s game as well [against Manchester City] and then because of the international break he might be close after the rest because that would be four weeks.”

For U.S. nationwide crew supporters, the larger query is that this: Will Howard, the U.S. No. 1, get well in time for the essential World Cup qualifiers towards Costa Rica (March 22) and Mexico (March 26)?

Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan may deputize for the U.S. within the two matches.

Howard injured his again in an FA Cup match towards Oldham Athletic when he collided with Robbie Simpson. See the slideshow above for the small print.

“He has two fractures, but they are not bones that are supporting anything,” Moyes continued. “It is off the spine. They are not weight-bearing. It just needs a bit of healing time. It is not like a pure fracture where you need to wait to look at it. It is a question of whether he can cope with the pain. The bones will heal themselves but it’s not good.”
